We are so confident about the performance and reliability of our hosting platform, that we host this site on our standard cloud hosting package (not even our DediCloud!), so what you see is what you get.

Cloud Hosting?

Cloud hosting is a term used to describe a collection of servers which, by using highly available virtualisation technologies, combines to create one powerful server, sharing all of the resources in what is known as a resource pool. This allows you to bypass the physical limits of servers, using huge amounts of resources when necessary, and scaling them back down when not needed. Cloud hosting also dramatically reduces down-times, because if a sever fails, other servers will slightly increase their load, to make up for the failing server. Our platform will do this automatically, and you and your visitors will not notice a thing.

Additionally, cloud technology allows us to pool both server resources and storage space, so you your server will never run out of resources. Green

Most web hosting servers are very under-used. In tests across our data centre, we found that most of our hardware was being used less than 25% of its potential capacity. But by pooling resources, our hosting uses approximately an eighth of the power consumed by similarly specified servers. Combined with energy reduction measures we are putting into place across our data centre, it makes a real difference.

Reliability

Reliability is crucial, as your business could suffer huge losses for even a few minutes of downtime. That is why we ensure the maximum up-time possible, thanks to our intelligent cloud hosting platform, and hot-swap replacements for every important part of our infrastructure. That includes UPS power supplies, multiple internet connections, hot-swap hard drives and an offsite backup facility, which is completely independent of our main data-centre. If anything breaks down our hosting platform will automatically swap to new hardware, while an on-site technician replaces the faulty part. With no downtime.

Scalability

Our cloud hosting platform removes the tedious limits of conventional servers by pooling both resources and backend storage. Our platform will grow to meet any peaks in traffic or resources seamlessly. You no longer need to continuously upgrade and downgrade your plan, or manage multiple servers. One size fits all.
